the national umbrella body representing small-scale miners and their associations across Zambia. We exist to unite, advocate for, and empower small-scale miners to operate sustainably, safely, and profitably while contributing to national economic development.
Since its legal establishment in 2007, FSSMAAZ has championed the growth and formalization of the sector, advocating for the rights, recognition, and prosperity of small-scale miners. Through strategic partnerships, proactive advocacy, and a strong member base of 16 regional associations, we serve as a vital bridge between local miners, the Government of Zambia, and global investors.
